One dead in Subang accident
SUBANG JAYA: A freak accident happened yesterday at 4.30pm when a boom crane fell off a trailer and crashed onto a passing car, killing the passenger and injuring the driver.
This accident occurred near the underpass of Subang Airport (Subang Jaya road leading to Federal Highway)
The passenger was know as Kelvin Kumar, 26, a restaurant worker died on the stop while the injured driver, Anisa Abdul Rahman, 46 manage to escaped death
According to the Traffic Chief police of Petaling Jaya, DSP Wong Siw Choon said that Kelvin Kumar, 26, died on the spot due to serious head n body injuries
The driver who is also known as the employer of Mr. Kelvin Kumar was rushed to Sime Darby Medical Centre in Subang Jaya
Fire-fighters extracted the victim form the wreck within 10 minutes
The iron piece that fell of the lorry was being transported for use in the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project
The lorry/trailer driver has been detained for further questioning on how this accident happen.
