Google to Acquire Waze for a Stunning offer of US$1.3 Billion
One month ago, the news that Facebook is considering Waze acquisition was all over the net but just a little push on the offer, now it’s all about Google.
Facebook offered US$1 Billion (RM3 Billion) however Google on the other side offered US$1.3 Billion (RM3.9 Billion) which makes them in the lead. Well, it’s not all about the money though for Waze. Another reason for choosing the world’s number 1 search engine company is due to the newly launched working space of Google located in Israel. This makes it easier for Waze (Israel company) employees as they don’t need to shift around too far.
This acquisition by Google will definitely strengthen Google Maps and if they did manage to put both functions together, it’s going to be an unbeatable Map application in the mobile industry.
