Foods for Men & Foods for Women

Men and women. Both have different needs for each body.

Below is a list of 5 foods for men and 5 foods for women.


Foods for Men

1. Tomato Sauce.

Any pizza lovers here? Well, good news for those who are pizza lovers. Men who eat a lot of tomatoes, tomato sauce from pizza are giving themselves an edge in preventing prostate cancer. Researchers at Harvard University, discover that men who ate tomato sauce two to four times per week had a 35% lower risk of getting a prostate cancer. The tomatoes contain a carotenoid called lycopene, which appears to be responsible for this good fortune. But!, you have to eat it from a pizza, tomato juice does not give the same effect. Researcher then found out that the tomato has to be cooked with some kind of fat for the best absorption of lycopene.  And who knows, it turn out to be tomato sauce on a pizza!

2. Oyster.

Oyster, the pearl of the ocean. Who knows it is the best food for men. Some may like it some don’t. For those who like it, kudos to you. But for those who don’t, just man up and it your oysters!. And here is why; just a couple of oysters will deliver a day supply of Zinc. Zinc is critical in the normal functioning of the male reproductive system. Yes. You read that correct.
It has been known to scientist that, sperm count has been dropping over the past 50 years, and there are many factors while are to be blame. To solve this, men have to get his fair shares of Zinc supply. And the answer is oyster.

3. Broccoli.

Yes men, vegetables are not forgotten. A Harvard study shows that cruciferous vegetables, like broccoli is a key in protecting men against bladder cancer, Which unfortunately is common against Asian men. Eating five or more servings per week of broccoli reduces the risk by half. So men, Asian men, please eat your broccoli.

4. Peanut Butter. 

Who doesn’t love peanut butter? You must be insane.
Anyway, for a healthy heart, eat peanut butter in the morning. Heart disease is the number one killer for both men and women, but men tend to get heart disease at earlier age compare to women.

5. Watermelon.

Watermelon is the best fruit on a hot sunny day! Agree? Anyway, up till the age of 55, men suffer from high blood pressure compare to women. Research discover that potassium can reduce the risk of high blood pressure and stroke. And guess what, watermelon has an abundance amount of potassium.  Eat watermelon every night.


Foods for Women

1. Papaya.

Yes, papaya. It is not for the purpose of making something bigger!. Papaya has twice the amount of vitamin C compare to an orange. This is good in fighting against gallbladder disease, which attack much more women than men. Women who have lower level of vitamin C are more prone to gallbladder disease.

2. Flaxseed.

Don’t know what is flaxseed? Don’t worry, just click here. Anyway, flaxseed is rich in benefits, and the more prominent benefit is it acts as a weapon against breast cancer. Most bakers use flaxseed in flavouring their muffins..

3. Tofu.

Tofu is high in soya protein and can lower cholesterol and also minimise menopausal hot flushes and strengthen bone. So many benefits for a women. the key word here is isoflavones, which is a plant chemical. Tofu contains so much of these isoflavones.

4. Pork.

Sorry to my Muslim readers. No harm intended. Just some facts.
Pork contains a high dose of iron. Iron is good in replenishing blood. And women as we know, bleeds every month and thus losing alot of blood will cause them severe fatigue, moodiness and so on. So to replenish them fast, try eating pork.
For those who can’t eat pork, do get some tablets which contains high dosage of iron. The keyword here is iron, and not entirely on pork.

5. Cabbage.

This vegetable, little may we know, it helps in fighting osteoporosis.  Osteoporosis affects many women late in life. Cabbage has adequate amount of calcium and vitamin D. Do make yourself some cabbage soup from time to time. it will benefit you later.
