2013 BMW 1 Series A.K.A F20, Launched and Priced in Malaysia

This is the latest F20 and it falls under BMW’s 1 Series models. Based on first impression, it looks better and more buffer in all angles. 

There will be three variants available with the F20 and they are the 116i, 118i and the premium 125i. However, only the 125i is confirmed to be fully imported and the rest of the variants are locally assembled in Kulim, Kedah. The good news about the locally assembled machines is that you get it for a slight cheaper price.

Performance

116i – 1.6 Liter turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine that produces 136 Horsepower. Takes you from 0-100km/h in just 8.7 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h.

118i – The 118i variants gets the similar machines like what the 116i has which is a 1.6 Liter turbocharged engine. However, this specific variant (118i) is tuned to produces a solid 170 Horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Takes you from 0-100km/h in just 7.2 seconds and a top speed of 222 km/h.

125i – 2.0 Liter turbocharged engine is fit underneath this monster. It produces a whopping 218 Horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. Takes you from 0-100km/h in just 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 243 km/h.

Fuel Consumption

116i – Consumes 5.8 Liter for every 100km it travels

118i – Consumes 5.8 Liter for every 100km it travers (similar to whats mentioned above)

125i – Consumes 6.3 Liter for every 100km it travels

Price Tag in Malaysia

So, what is it going to be? This or the Volkswagen Family?
