2013 VW Golf GTI MK7 now in Malaysia, Price and Details
This little fun ride here is not launched yet in Malaysia, however, all thanks to Volkswagen Malaysia for being super kind, we get a little heads up on the pricing and specification.
The hot hatch will be officially launched this coming Saturday which is the 24th of August 2013 and from then onwards, you get to bring this baby for a test run. There would be two types of version that will be offered and they are the three door and the standard five door. In fact, this is the first time ever the Golf GTI gets a three door version unlike the Polo GTI.

That’s right! As you can see the 3 door Golf is about RM10,000 cheaper than the standard version.
Under the Hood
Underneath is the standard 2.0 Liter TSI turbocharged engine that produces 10 Horsepower much more than the previous generation (MK6). Overall, it produces 220 Horsepower and 350Nm of torque (70Nm of torque more than the previous generation). That’s good enough to take you from 0-100km/h in just 6.5 seconds which is 0.4 seconds faster than before.

Seems like a pretty good deal? Although it doesn’t improve much, we still got to give it to Volkswagen for an excellent product here. It looks better in every way, it’s much more fuel efficient and it’s a little faster. To sum up, this new generation of Golf GTI here is waaaaay better than the previous generation.
