Robber with meat cleaver shot dead after attacking out-of-uniform cop
KUALA LUMPUR: A man armed with a meat cleaver was shot dead after he tried robbing an out of uniform policeman at a bank in Damansara Utama early Friday.
The out of uniform cop, Corporal Mohd Faizal Che said that he drew his service revolver and shot the robber in self-defence. This incident happen at the CIMB bank’s ATM about 4am (early morning).
The armed man with the meat cleaver was known as, Chin Hin Choon, aged 43. He died on the spot after Corporal Mohd Faizal Che draw his shot.
Chin Hin Choon had been detained for drug related activities, house break-ins and also car jacking previously. It was later learnt that the robber was allegedly on the lookout for his potential targets/victims around Damansara Utama.
