Husband Kills Friend over ‘Love Message (SMS)’
FOR sending a “love SMS” to his friend’s wife, a 22-year-old man was stabbed in the neck by the husband, Harian Metro reported.
The man, known as Mohammad, was found dead at a parking lot in front of a three-storey shoplot in Jalan Klang Sentral on Thursday.
The victim, who worked in a cyber cafe there, was seen having a heated argument with the friend before he was stabbed.
North Klang district police chief ACP Mohd Shukor Sulong said a witness had immediately alerted the police.
“As soon as we received the call, a team was sent to the scene, but the victim was already dead.
“Initial investigations showed that there was a 5cm wound on his neck and we believe the motive of the murder was revenge and jealousy,” he said.
Mohd Shukor said checks at the suspect’s home showed that the man, along with his wife, had fled.
According to a mutual friend of the victim and the suspect, Mohammad had sent a romantic text message to the suspect’s wife and the suspect was not able to control his anger.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
The paper also reported that a man who parked his car to help others whose vehicles were stuck in a flood eventually found his car stuck in the flood, too.
Asari Zabidin, 43, from Kampung Manjoi in Ipoh, said he was on his way home when he saw several vehicle owners panicking because their cars were stuck in rising floodwaters.
“Most of the victims did not expect the flash flood as it had only been raining for about an hour.
“I got down to help them but later found that my car was stuck in floodwaters 0.4m-deep,” he said.
The damage, he said, would cost him more than RM1,000.
