A Taxi driver was behind the stone throwing in Cheras
CHERAS: A taxi driver was the culprit who was hurling bricks at cars from a pedestrian bridges in Cheras.
The 43 year old man said that he was ”stressed up” and he admitted to the police saying that he relieves his stress by randomly throwing bricks at cars near Taman Connaught since early of this month.
His act of hurling down big chunks of bricks had injured 2 people.
Cheras OCPD Asss Comm Mohan Singh said “We do not believe he did so in order to gain customers for his taxi,” he said adding that, the arrest was possible following a tip off from the public. – The Star
Speaking to a press conference on Tuesday, ACP Mohan said the police would let the Deputy public prosecutor decide whether the man was mentally fit to be prosecuted. – The Star
The latest case of his act was featured on the Malaysian Crime Awareness Campaign’s Facebook page.
