5 year old girl shot herself in the head
New Orleans: A 5 year old girl died on Sunday after she accidentally shot herself in the head
The police found the girl in her bedroom suffering from a gunshot wound to her head. She was brought the hospital but died later from the injury
From the investigation done by the investigation police officers, it was said that the girl was home alone and she somehow found the .38 revolver and accidentally shot herself in the head
The 5 year old girls’s mother told her daughter to lock herself up at home while she went to the store to get some groceries. When she came home she found her daughter in the bedroom with a gunshot wound to the head
Police have not yet released the girl’s name
The autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning. Further investigation of this case is on going
