14 year old girl happy with married life
KULIM: Getting married at a young and tender age of 13, Nur Fazira Saad has no regrets marrying her husband who is 20 years old now.
Nur Fariza is married to Mohd Fahmi Mohamed Alias a fruit picker.
She told to the press that she was coping well with the responsibilities of being a wife
According to the 14 year old girl, she said it was fun.” Even before marriage, I already know how to cook and clean and it is not a problem for me, ” said Nur Fariza, adding that her husband’s favourite food were ayam masak merah and asam pedas.
She do not plan to have children now with her husband as they are still young now.
”She takes good care of me and she tells me how happy is is all the time”, said Mohd Fahmi
“Our family members and friends were supportive of our decision to get married,” said Mohd Fahmi at his family’s house in Kampung Naga Lilit, Padang Serai, yester-day.
Describing Nur Fazira as a good wife, he said life had been easier and more seronok (enjoyable) for him after getting married.
The couple’s marriage last year caused a stir although their families had agreed to the wedding.
Nur Fazira’s father Saad Mustafa had reportedly asked Mohd Fahmi to marry her after he found out that she had spent a whole day with Mohd Fahmi.
She later explained that he had sent her to a relative’s house to spend the night.
Nur Fazira stopped going to school after her Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) in 2011.
The couple’s marriage was solemnised at the Kampung Padang Cina mosque, near the bride’s family home, on Nov 17 last year after the Syariah Court in Kulim consented to the marriage on Nov 7.
